Steven Langert
Steven is a dynamic entrepreneur with diverse experience spanning mental health, real estate, and politics. He has honed his leadership skills through extensive work with professionals, union leaders, and skilled workers across various industries.
Currently, Steven owns and manages nearly 2 million square feet of industrial warehouse space. He also founded and continues to own a healthcare facility for the chronically mentally ill in New Jersey.
In 2008, Steven was elected to the Lakewood Township Committee, serving six years, including terms as Mayor and Deputy Mayor. He is now excited to collaborate with Akiva on bringing science-driven cannabis delivery systems to market.
Akiva Lazar
Akiva Lazar is the founder of NGS, the medical division of NGC, Northern Green Canada. He was instrumental in developing the company's Medical and Science Team, policies, and key partnerships, including collaborations with Hebrew University and Dr. Raphael Mechoulam.
As Director of Research and Development, his work contributed to NGC's growth, culminating in its acquisition by Curaleaf in 2023.
Akiva has also helped create one of Canada's successful foreign currency exchange platforms and co-produces The Common Denominator Podcast.
Dr. Joseph Tam | DMD, PhD
Prof. Yossi Tam is an accomplished researcher with B.Med.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., and D.M.D. degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institutes of Health before leading the Obesity and Metabolism Laboratory at the Institute for Drug Research.
His focus lies in targeting the endocannabinoid system for addressing obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. His expertise has resulted in over 100 peer-reviewed papers published in prestigious journals.
He serves as Director of the Hebrew University's Multidisciplinary Center for Cannabinoid Research and contributes to biotech companies' scientific advisory boards.
Dr. Leon Genesove, MD
Dr. Leon Genesove brings extensive experience in occupational and environmental medicine as a certified medical specialist and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.
His career includes serving as Chief Physician of the Ontario Ministry of Labour, advising a Canadian medical cannabis producer, and consulting for public health units and environmental consulting firms.
He currently maintains a consulting practice in occupational and environmental medicine.
Aaron Lazar
Aaron is currently enrolled at Reichman University in Herzliya, Israel, working toward a double major in Business and Economics.
Before joining ICC, Aaron worked as a Business Development Representative and customer service intern for Boosst Inc. in Tel Aviv and as a graphic design intern for Act.IL.
Aaron leverages his understanding of graphic design, marketing, and social media to grow ICC's media and marketing channels.
Rivka Langert
With a strong foundation in psychological science and empirical research, Rivka Langert leads research and scientific analysis at International Cannabis Company.
Holding a B.A. in Psychology from Reichman University in Herzliya, she brings a methodical and evidence-based approach to understanding the global landscape of cannabis R&D.
Her work focuses on comparative research, R&D trends, regulatory compliance, and scientific advancements in strain development and extraction techniques.
Michal Lazar
Michal holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Neuroscience from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. With over five years of experience in biomedical research, she has focused on investigating the therapeutic potential of psychedelic compounds in neuropsychiatric disorders.
As a Clinical Research Associate with the International Cannabis Company (ICC), Michal contributes to the company's research initiatives, clinical studies, and the evaluation of terpene-based formulations. She is committed to advancing evidence-based research that supports innovative therapeutic approaches and improved patient outcomes.
Michal has expertise in complementary and integrative medicine, neuroscience, experimental design, and data analysis. She is the author of one peer-reviewed scientific publication and has co-authored two additional publications in the field of neuropsychiatric research.
Henya Lazar
Henya Lazar holds a Bachelor of Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science and is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN). With over 20 years of experience in holistic health, nutritional supplementation, and research, she is dedicated to helping individuals optimize their health through science-based, natural approaches.
As a nutrition expert with the International Cannabis Company (ICC), she contributes to the research and development of terpene-based formulations.
Henya also maintains a private virtual consulting practice specializing in gut health, women's health, and functional wellness.
